Chose to explore William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as a site, specially the balcony scene (Act 2, Scene 2) and how the could be performed on 'Zoom.' As there has been many interpretations of this classic piece of theatre, spark interested for how it could be to re-imagined it for the digital stage.

Going through the scene and blocking out the actors movements on a stage setting to gain a sense on how the scene would play out spatially

How could this be performed in zoom?

The Role of C[a]mer[a]  

In film the role of the camera is guide the viewer through the narrative. It will select moments within the narrative to draw focus too to draw the viewer in to how the character is feeling during those moments within the storyline. 

'Zoom' as a platform allows the multi cameras to operate all at once, create opportunities  to have various perspectives all happening within the one shot

St[a]ging The Shots. 

Starting small and exploring Juliet entering on to her balcony. Using three cameras and setting up three different shots throughout the space. Aiming to capturing Juliet walking out from her room, having a close up of her to capture her facial expressions when revealing her inner conflict about her love from Romeo but her loyalty to her family and perceptive looking up from the ground - imitating what Romeo would be witnessing during those moments. Using the home stair case of as site to configure different camera arrangements to create a multi complex view.

Exploring the role of the architecture within the frame, and using architectural lines to frame certain elements of the narrative. Establishing another frame within a frame.

Exploring the body movements within shot and that the body's movements in the space are all captured within the frame.

[Re]Configuring  Zoom 

As when each device joins zoom it's get placed in a certain area. 

Reconfiguring the cameras in the space in order to frame how the space will be viewed.
